Reasons to blog elevator pitch – what’s your game plan?

You’ve got an elevator ride, I’ll even be kind and say its 40 floors, to explain/convince to the president/department head/client why they/we should be blogging.

Chris Brogan has had some great advice, just wondering what’s your game plan?

Why blog? I posted a little thought on this a while back. (http://rurl.org/gld) “Perhaps corporate boards (and shareholders) should require CEOs and top executives to blog… (Because) in the process of actively participating, key decision-makers would get a more intimate understanding of the new world.”

How can you (CEO, Client, etc) judge the value of blogging without personal participation?

1) to be fully literate in a medium one needs to know how to both consume information through that medium as well as communicate back via that medium.
2) Just as we first learn to listen and then learn to speak…
3) Just as we first learn to read and then learn to write…
4) we need to bring everyone up to speed on learning to publish to the web for teaching one to publish will help them better understand the richness and possibilities that are available.
